Reward and recognition

A key part of our Care Excellence journey is recognising and rewarding Nurses, Midwives and the wider nursing team for outstanding practice. The way Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) does this is through the DAISY and TULIP awards. Each month patients, carers and NUH colleagues nominate staff members who have gone above and beyond in their care for patients and one another. These staff members are recognised through a ceremony conducted in the clinical area by the Senior Nurses and Midwives.
